One of the unique attractions of Esztergom is the medieval Cat Staircase, or Cat Trail, which connects the Basilica and the Castle with the charming Water Town. It is a narrow and very steep road of hundreds of stone steps, just over 200 metres long, which was already depicted in 16th century engravings.
